o2 Broadband, opinions and how to get there!

£22.50? o2 LLU is £10/mo if you're an o2 customer, if I want a wireles N Router (All my devices aside from the xbox are G) I'll buy one :p

Have decided o hold off from BT for now, o2 said they will be taking bookings for line activation come the 18th (2 days after we move) and we have sky coming on the 19th for a TV install, things are progressing....thankfully :D

Try signing up on bt site when theres offers about like posted the web site tends to have the offer on there or if u post mobile number on that they will phone you which you then mention the offer and the link.

I did this month ago it works its just the phone people dont know about deals half the time so you offer to link them to it or email them the deal they are normally fine

My friend moved in to a flat, had to pay £128 for the line connection, waited three weeks for that then had to wait another week for O2!

The 'another week for O2' is actually BT again, once you have a line then the LLU provider has to book an appointment for a BT engineer to swap your line over to the LLU service, which normally takes around a week.

Really annoying when you move house and have no broadband for weeks when you consider the actual work BT do only takes minutes. When I moved in here BT screwed it up as well and kept blaming my ISP (freedom2surf at the time) so I went for ages going backwards and forwards with no broadband before BT finally went to my exchange and fixed it. Luckily one of my neighbours had an open wireless access point. ;)

Hmm, just had some interesting news which I totally somehow never saw on samknows..

This exchange we are in is currently due to be upgraded to FTTC in September, with an estimation of rolling out to us on Sept 30th, BT infinity 2 at £25/month looks pretty good, upto 40mb depending obviously on where your local greenbox is (googlemapping it now!) But would it be a viable choice to jump onto bt broadband for a month or 2 to move on to infinity, or would they, do you think, try and sting me for more if I were to change "products"?

i just left BT and told them i was goign virgin in my new home and they offered to reconect the line for £29 instead of £129.

might be able to blag it
