They don't like my house. Their 3G coverage goes around it! I just rang Orange to get a PAC code today to switch to o2 so I could get a k800i without evil Orange branding, an unlocked model, and now instead of god knows when. Now I'm thinking that might have been a mistake. Annoyingly the o2 offer with CPW saves me £80. Can I cancel my cancellation? :)

On a serious note have tried to find out why there is a black spot at that area. Seems really odd

I know! It makes no sense. Why is it fine at the end of the street but not where I am? Theres no difference. Theres a church in the road parallel to me, make that some how deflects everything but God's rays?

Have actually got a 3g or know anyone who has a 3 g phone to test it out ?.

Thats really weird

Annoyingly they're all too far away. I'll be getting a k800i on o2 sometime next week when my PAC code arrives. I'll walk around with it like a tricorder. I rang o2 and they didn't know. The usual explinations were because I'm either in a dip or too far away. I can go into a dip and get a better signal and I'm clearly not too far away.

how u like this one our street is classed as high I can do all the 3g stuff but if i phone my next door nieghbour via video call with N80 it doesnt work as he cant get a 3g signal but if he comes round here it works :p
Now that is strange

On-Topic - More or less :)

Are O2 interested or willing to offer any advice/help if you do seem to live in a small blackspot?

Our town is covered well by O2.
The map at the URL above confirms this - we certainly aren't in a 3G area, but all around is the light blue indicating coverage.
If I walk out of my house and pace in most directions I can get full signal.
If I'm in the very top room of my house at the front I can get a good signal.
However nearly anywhere else in my house I get "Emergency Calls Only".
However the strength of the "Emergency Only" is sometimes as high as 4 bars.

I know all mobile operators have an agreement that you can use any network to make emergency calls.
So a 4 bar strength "Emergency Only" would indicate at least one of the telco's can get a high quality signal throughout the whole of my house.

Before I waste my time contacting O2 does anybody think they will really give a damn or would things more than likely just go ignored and "well two customers (me and my fiancee) really don't matter that much"?
Actually I know my neighbour on one side has the same problem however the one ther other doesn't.

I rang them and they didn't have a clue and couldn't suggest anything. I ticked the "Future coverage" option and nothing changed. I guess you could ring and see if they tell you differently.
