Same as last time though - contract's in Dad's name and funnily enough at 1PM he's at work!

I signed up in mid september, and they haven't throttled my connection at all. According to the link, i should be throttled to 100kbps right now, but I'm not. Also, O2's own FUP doesn't state those terms either, so i doubt they are actually throttling anyone.

It depends more on the package you took rather than the exact date that you joined.

They've contacted our house for the past 3 days running, but the contract is in my mums name so they won't speak to anybody else while she is at work!

I see the ASA are investigating ISPs usage of 'up to' speeds and 'unlimited' terms as misleading. About bloody time!

if you browse o2's very own forums, you might find some people who disagree.

Not as high as sunlitsix if he's had them phone 3-days in a row!

I've got the bandwidth monitor on the router turned off, but I imagine we get through a fair bit. We were with Plusnet on ADSL Max (before switching to Be the second they enabled our exchange) and Plusnet used to send angry emails etc.

When O2 actually manage to get through to Dad he'll just tell them he's fine on the current contract and doesn't want to change.... if they insist we'll just switch back to Be.

All we use our internet for is general browsing, quite a lot of youtube / iplayer and Xbox live.
I'll have to look into some bandwidth monitors but I can't see it being that high usage really!
