O2 Issues - South Yorkshire

To be fair, I've had an outage with TalkTalk, an outage at my parents house with BT and an electricity outage to boot. All within the last 6 months.

Sometimes backups are too expensive to maintain and run - you're paying practically nothing for a very good service. If you're not happy, move elsewhere and pay more for better reliability.

We're paying practically nothing for a phone network that has no customer service lines or infrastructure; merely a forum. This is fine, not a problem at all; that's the selling point, pretty much, and I'm personally fine with that.

However, giffgaff do have a backup, and it wasn't working; that's the issue. And sorry, but no matter what, a mobile phone company should have a backup.

cu3ed: they should have a backup, and in a different location at that. A power outage is probably the most likely disaster to happen; having a backup in the same location is daft, at best.
