O2 network down for some

First time in 6 years that I've ever had a problem like this with O2. Mine went out yesterday early evening, still no signal here - I was in Buckinghamshire/Hertfordshire last night and had no signal anywhere. Hope they sort it out soon but like I said, first time in 6 years so not about to jump ship over this.

I'm on GiffGaff and mines been fine (Stevenage) GF in o2 and she has not been able to make calls since yesterday (Letchworth)

Whatsapp for the win :)

Mines gone overnight, since 5am at least.. Ever since I moved to GiffGaff I've had far to many downtimes compared to when I was with Virgin... Either GG fault or O2s fault.

I share your sentiment; I've been with them for at least the same length of time and this is the first problem I've had.

Still down for me, and that's from about 5pm yesterday.
I managed to get onto the status page this morning, it said that they were still working to resolve the issue. Fortunately for me, my phone started working at about 3am, so I guess they are making progress.

Thought my phone was unaffected as it was showing a full signal. However, trying to make a call it the phone just flashes a message saying 'call not allowed'.

o2 seem to be having a few problems recently as I had the 'Sim not registered' error a couple of weeks ago along with many others. Nearly went and bought a new phone as I thought this one was broken until someone mentioned their sister was having problems as well.

Just to put a positive spin to this I'm pretty sure I read that Vodafone and O2 Mobile networks are planning to merge much like t-mobile and orange did so they can compete for coverage.
