Is anyone else having problems with O2?

I just tried to pick up a voicmail and couldn't connect to the network and I get the message 'no service', my mums is the same. I'm in the Bath area are any of you guys having the same problem?

Hmmm was gonna ask in the Desire thread for O2 settings, but seems I don't have to..

I'm in the centre of Bristol and recently lost signal :(

Yeh saw that thread, just tried ringing them and the phone lines are closed! I hope it comes back up soon but somone on the O2 thread was told tomorrow!

Update from the thread on the o2 forum

"There has been a network failure at a YATEs point where construction work has knocked off the power. The whole of the O2 network in the UK is having problems due to this and have no timescales to when this will be fixed. Customer services had over a thousand people in the queue by the time it got to 8:45pm and most advisors would have been unaware until this point.

The outage has also affected Orange and Vodafone networks. "

As in the town of Yate, or does this mean something else?
Wouldn't suprise me, some building work near my local knocked down electric and water in the space of about 2 weeks a while back. lol.

Glad this is the network, not my Desire having no signal in my house.

God knows matey, the disruption does seem to be reported most widely in the South West, so it may be some sort of network node in or around Yate.

Hopefully all fixed soon.

I just phoned my friend in Derby using my landline, so no problems there. Apparently he had been trying to phone me and wondered why he couldn't get through! From what I have been reading people in the SW are having the biggest problems
