The otherday my EML came on with a fault code of P0135 Oxygen O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

I reset the code and it hasn't come on since, so might have just been a glitch, due to carbon build up or something.

But just to make sure Im about to order a new o2 sensor, but what i want to know is are all o2 sensors on the car the same or are they diffrent depending on which one you replace.

Certainly for my car they have different part numbers. (pre and post catalyst) Whether this is due to actual sensor differences or just the cable lengths i don't know. You'd be best off checking with the supplier or a dealership to make sure.

it's down to cable lengths. Don't bother replacing it if the fault doesn't come back, especially considering the fault was in the heating circuit - not that sensing part of it.

Well i've already bought one today didn't cost all that much, just over £30 & went ahead and replaced it.

It proberly need replacing at some point anyroads not to long down the line.

the sensor can still sense and be reporting badly without throwing a code so really hed have to investigate it further
