O2 Upgrade Query

I have been using the O2 website to upgrade or I usually phoned retentions for an upgrade. The deals they offer are awful compared to various phone companies which I see or hear about like mobiles.co.uk etc.

My question is, if I upgrade with one of these 3rd party companies and stick with O2, does my account at O2.co.uk still exist and can I continue to use it for checking my account and bills or do I work through this 3rd company?

As far as I know, yes. I would give o2 a ring to be sure though.

Yea it does.
2 years ago when I upgraded to my S4 I went through carphone warehouse and everything went smoothly, could see all new details directly through the O2 website. It makes no difference who you upgrade through, everything will still be with O2. In fact, it's better because you'll get an unlocked phone where as if you go directly to O2 you'll get one with the O2 software on it and it'll be sim locked to O2

Yup, they kept my account from a while back and definitely do that. I don't think they even bother with retentions going by what they offer and just rely on laziness from the customers. Better deals and unlocked phones from third party resellers.
