i have a deal that ends next month...

500 any time mins x 500 text that came with the k800i for £20 a month, if i want that deal again i need to pay £35 with the k810i! - i have tried 3 or 4 times on the phone, and even said i'm leaving and asked for the addy to write to in order to quit..... any ideas or have the days of a good haggle and deal gone?

Try writing in and see what happens. I did with Vodafone and got a free N76 and £10 a month for 10 months then £15.99 on a 12 month contract! Works sometimes! :-)

i now have my pac code....

O2 really don't care about me - :D it's true you gotta spend money with them to be worth keeping (fare enough) i will try one more time, i called yesterday and got a better deal than i first did, i keep calling them up and saying 'where is my pac code' and they then say...."so let me see if we can offer you a deal" :p

i now have 4 PAC codes :D

It may depend on who you get to talk to. I asked for the PAC then negotiated an upgrade for my mum today who was paying £17 (after cashback) for a 6230i on a 12 month contract. She rarely used more than inclusive minutes. The new deal was a free Nokia 6300 with O2 400 @ £10 month on a 12 month contract.

O2 were numpties with me as well. They made one agreement, then backed off when I called back to barter a little more. If Vodafone pull a fast one in a couple months, then they'll get canned too. :D As long as I keep my number, I couldn't care less who I'm with!

Is it the retentions department youve got through to when you say you want to leave? I think its only there they can offer you a deal. If you search you can find a number to call them directly.

Just to prove a point, if they want to keep your business they will.

I've had a contract with Vodafone for (pretty much mobile, day one) line rental under a tenner a month, eve and weekends + texts. Use it as the home phone replacemnt etc.

Just got to upgrade time and was told I could have any phone except N95 for nothing.

So.....

Got went for a W880i Never tried SE so thought I would give it a go.

Voda have always been great for upgrades for me... i had 5 month left on my contect to go told them by phone sucked and dint hold it charge they let me renew my contrect and give me free w880i

on this page it says you get the same deal as new customers, plus a "little extra" when you upgrade, any one tried holding them to this?

personally I'm waiting to se what happens to their tarrifs on 1st oct when they introduce the "unlimited" data tarrifs that they are offering on the iphone for all the other phones.

I don't use a lot of minutes/texts a month but i quite fancy the p1i with unlimited data :D

Im with o2, 9 months into my 12 month contract(400 mins, 500 txts = £35 p\m), any chance of them upgrading me at this time(phone and contract)?

last year I was approached by Orange at around this time in my contract and offered a new handset and plan on an 18 month contract.

Think o2 are as obliging?

bit early to be honest, wait til you are in your 12 month, ring up and say you wanna quit and see what they offer

I have been with O2 for years now and never had a problem at upgrade time, I do find its better if you go into the shop tho rather than do it over the phone.
