Oakley Collection / Watch Advice

My Oakley collection is now building, i have just orderd Oakley Nanowires 3.0

But what im really after is advice. For my 18th i had the Oakley Blade II.

Now i know there are a few watch nuts on this forum. The watch im looking at is the OAKLEY MINUTE MACHINE Diamond Dial Edition for my 21st of the family

now its just short of 3k, which i personally think is a little steep, is it worth going for something i really like or something like a TAG/ cheap Rolex budget would be around 2.5 - 3k for a watch? any suggestions?
 
I'd always buy something you really like. Although all I can say about that watch is, dear god why would you buy it?

I'm all for square-roomed puzzle adventure games, but why in the hell would you want one that tells the time?
 
Allways get the one you want otherwise you'll only look at it and think "wish I had bought the other one" but to be honest unless the watch is made of something like gold or platinum, no watch is worth 3 grand. Oakley are an amazing brand, but for that price its a total waste of money. Your paying out of 3000 pounds about 2900 on the badge. I agree brand names are better than cheap things, but thats ridiculous.

well i had the blade II and i have to say its the most amazing watch i own, soon as i seen it i had to have it, that cost 550 if i remember correct, but so worth it. But yes i agree 3k is a slight jump. But im only 21 once ?
 
no offence but they look horrible! i do like oakley glasses but i dint think their watches are up to much if thats a good example of thier range.

I know their watches are fantastic quality i managed to get my hands on the timebomb where i had to go London to pick it up, for my girlfreinds 18th which set me back a lot, but when we took it to a very reputable watch makers for adjusment, they said the quality was phenomenal. But can i get a rolex for this price or even a good quality TAG not sure really what im looking for

me too. you can get a panerai for 3k!!!

i would steer clear of Tag and Omega, how about looking at Breitling?

so many to choose from Oakley would be far down my list. having said that you should ALWAYS go with what you like not what other people say they like :)
 
ive seen some Breitling and thought they are a stunning looking watch not sure of the prices mind you thought that would be out my price range, however i do see that type of watch as a special occasion watch, not everyday.
