OBD2 scanners (Carly?)

Maybe a late request,
My son has a Carly for his BMW E92 s65, as already said. Its not brilliant in helping sorting 02 sensors etc.
Which setup would be suggested best for either a Android or Windows laptop.

I opened up a refund request, they declined stating that German retail laws don't say

I dunno what it is like in Germany in respect to consumer laws, but my two dealings with Germany based companies has been totally shady in this respect and once they have your money their attitudes is basically tough, even if the screw up was on their end, and I'm not talking about scammer type places but established everyday businesses.

In recent times Torque Pro has been great and it's quite in depth too. Works wih any ELM compatible reader, I have the Veepeak BT dongle that stays connected to the port at all times.

I've had good results with Torque Pro - it isn't as good as the proper (as in expensive/industry) handheld scanners or brand specific software on a laptop, etc. but generally does the job and usually finds stuff other apps don't.

I use the exact same two things (Torque Pro & Veepeak BT OBD reader) for my Citroen C1 with absolutely no issues and only cost me about £20 for both combined IIRC.

Another vote against Carly, when I signed up for a year sub there was small print that basically said that they will recharge me on the anniversary date but give no indication that they were doing so.

Technically? My fault. But shady business practice, I contacted them to refund but they were having none of it, even though they'd charged me literally on that day.
Cheers. You reminded me I needed to cancel my renewal, they just confirmed it.
