Just started this myself and got that fishy quest - do you need to go fishing (with a rod) ? The quest marker is in the middle of the lake....

Nope just go kill fish, then search the fish and pick up the scales.

I've clocked up 40 odd hours on this now on the PS3. Last night i got bitten and i'm slowly becoming a Vampire. I was going to cure it but reading up on it, it sounds like it could be quite handy

Since Im stuck at work at the min Ive been doing some background reading to help out n00bishness.

Ive found out that what race / star combo seems to have a big effect on how the game pans out.........

I went with a Breton, Thief, Bard combo, for no real reason but Is this going to cause me problems??

Any suggestions for a nice n00b friendly easy to enjoy build? I dont want to have to re-roll 50 hours in!

I was a mage.

Summon a Clanfear or whatever they are called, let them get hit while you cast other spells. Made it easy.

I accidently managed to heal myself so I can't become a vampire again

Tempted to redo it again and do things a little differently.

I thought that as well, its a PITA!!!

You can't go out during the day, unless you suck some blood every night, which becomes tiresome, though the night vision and detect life are very handy in dark mines

I wasn't going to buy this game due to the fact that I don't think I would really have the time to put into it but seeing this thread has made me want to buy it...

May just have to pick it up on the way home from work.

See the daytime thing was a fear of mine as i CBA drawing blood all the time, i've only just became a Vampire (haven't slept since) and apparently once you sleep 4 times you become a full blown case?

Can you be cured at any stage or just early stages? :eek:

I got vamped when going through the PC version and will avoid it like the plague this time around on the 360! The quest to get the cure if you are a fully fledged vamp is a real pain.

Yeah i was just reading the Vampire FAQ on IGN and it doesn't seem as much fun as i first thought....Once your fully fledged, no one even talks to you

Just goto to a chapel and use the alter thing if you havent slept should cure it, may work if you have and its less than 3 days since you got infected.

Started again tonight.......... and I lowered the difficulty

Really enjoying this game now! I've still got that 'lost' feeling though. Tonight I made a mage style chap and joined the mage guild, I did the first two quests then I raided a dungeon and made a tide 1.4k gold!

So I bought a summon wrath thing then saved it. Dam four hours just fly by!

Think I will go on more dungeon hunts tomorrow, or maybe finish the mage guild thingys!

It's only really stage 3 and 4 where that's the case. As long as you feed regularly it wont be a problem.

It's also a lot easier when it's not just a huge block of text.

That guide in particular is very easy to navigate, you can easily go straight to any section you need to.
