Oblivion Save file problem

Everytime I go to save, it says it's saved fine and it hasn't.....no save file whatsoever and all that's left is an autosave back up file.

Any ideas how to sort that?
The game is installed on one partition while the save files are in My Documents on another partition so wondering if that has something to do with it.

I was hoping there'd be some kind of solution :p
Not exactly simple for me to do as I've got one drive for the windows install and one for game installs, meaning the windows drive is a lot smaller and I don't really want to clutter it up with games.
Would have hoped that the game programmers would have thought of people who run more than 1 partition

I have problems because sometimes the game crashes when I save. The save appears in the list but it's usually corrupt. I wish it would keep more than one quicksave so it's not so bad when this happens.

The saves aren't even appearing for me :/
I click save, it says saved successfully, and it's not there or showing up in any form.

Only save that's working is auto save although if I save over that then it vanishes and all I have left is the auto save back up.

There goes that theory then :D
Weird thing is I'm sure it was fine the other day but not 100% certain because I've not played it that much, and at this rate probably won't for a while.

You could try checking your config for where it's set to save the game? It might be looking for the files in a different place to where it's actually saving them (maybe it's saving somewhere in your install folder?), or something odd. Just a thought.

Hehe, rather obscure problem there. While on the subject, did you get alt-tab to work? Oblivion doesn't seem to like alt-tabbing for me

Yup it works fine for me, bar the occassional random crash (Although I think that's because I'm alt tabbing too fast :o).
Did see in the readme that it said it depends on the hardware and is not recommended though.

I like being able to alt tab though so I risk it.

I have the black screen problem and alt-tabbing clears it for me so I have to use it quite a bit. If you press ` first you shouldn't have any problems.
