OcUK are brilliant forums - always full of interesting subjects (and useless ones!) and some brilliants factual posts - can learn a lot here!

True but when you have to wade through twice as much ******** to find the good stuff it gets a bit tedious. I miss the old days.

Origionally I started posting because I had a lot of free time at Uni and needed some advice on a new rig, then I started a job where I still have a lot of free time so I've carried on. For me it's partly because I find the forums are one of the generally more civil forums i've found on the net, and a source of much amusement (and some annoyance).]

Very few of us work for OcUK - even in the mod team.

I guess it's the sense of community mostly. I have had a posh meal courtesy of Spie though. That was a fun evening.

My memories were a little bit blurry now of that event Burnsy2023.


And to the OP: I'm on the payroll, but I have over 5k posts prior to working at OcUK, so maybe I used to forums to get my job, who knows.
