OC GTX275 or a 5850?

It would make more sense than spending a bundle on a soon to be depreciated card even if you are paying slightly over the odds... tho personally I think £240 for a 5850 is a steal.

I thought ATi products wouldn't be allowed in your household, do you have to wash down your house afterwards :p

LOL - I don't like them but I'm not that kinda silly about them...

infact I spend more time with an ATI 3D accelerator than nVidia... my phone has the ATI Imageon onboard :D

Actually the 4890 was pulled from a PC upgrade I did for someone and they nicely said I could keep it in payment... lol.

But like I said man, push everything towards the 5850. Its a bargin for its price and can overclock like a biach, near/same as 5870's speeds in games. People overclocking the 5850 from 725 to 850core has noticed about 10 fps higher in games. They are like steel mate, you would be stupid to buy a 275 over a 5850.

Lol, you got to live this fourm. Nerly every thread thats got nvidia and ati init, the thread goes off into different subjects (Fanboys :p)

Tbh the reason i like these forums is because there are a lot of people with different views which leads to all the heated threads about ati/amd v nvidia. The same threads do get ruined by some fanboys but you do tend to hear some really good points at the same time.

I would personally get the 5850 if not that then the next best cheapest card which is the 4890 i linked to. Reason being when all the cards ie.gtx275/gtx260/4890 are overclocked to there max there is not gonna be much in it fps wise so you may as well get the cheapest. The xfx warranty with ocuk is also a plus point for me.
