please help me what to change in my bois settings in order to achieve
4.40 ghz.thanks guys

You might not be able to reach your desired 4.4GHz but its worth a shot ;)

You just need to raise the FSB little by little and test for stability. Once it becomes unstable, raise the voltage a little and test for stability again. Always check your temperatures whilst you doing this; you won't want to fry your chip!

FSB is called 'Base Clock' for that chip.

The first thing to do is lower your memory ratio as far as it will go so that you aren't overclocking your RAM.

As you raise base clock increase vcore when it becomes unstable. At some point you will have to raise VTT, which is the voltage supplied to the memory controller on the chip. Note that this must stay within 0.5v of your RAM voltage or you will damage your CPU.

The best advice I can give is go slowly. See how far you get purely on the base clock then leave it there for a while. When you are confident that the machine is stable and not going to overheat give it a bit more vcore and up the base clock again. Repeat till you have the best overclock for your system. The best way to break things is by rushing to get a massive overclock on your first go.

Hi guys thx for the replies. i havent overclock a cpu before by the way. i just need the settings in bois. the maximum i can get to oc this cpu is to 4.40ghz only

4.4GHz is a really big overclock for that chip. All CPU's are different, so it may not even be possible with yours. You need to start methodically raising the base clock and adding voltage when you need to, testing stability and load temperature each time. Going straight in at 4.4 is a really bad idea.

4.4GHz is a really big overclock for that chip.

it is doable, but not if you dont know what you are doing.

OP i suggest you read the overclocking stickies and get familiar with your bios settings.

nobody is going to give you a list of bios settings that will 'just work'
every cpu is different and you cant anticipate how your setup will overclock at all. it really is the wrong attitude to take with overclocking.
