Hey my spec is

GigaByte M68MT-S2
Corsair XMS2 4GB 2GBx2
Phenom II X4 840 @ 3.2GHz

I would like to OC my cpu but can't find anything in the BIOS at all about it. This is why I haven't bought a new cooler. If i can find out how to OC with this board I will invest in a good air cooler. I know i wont get much out of this CPU but i've seen that people are running it at 3.8GHz stable.

Any ideas?

First question is do you have the black edition of that cpu which makes overclocking much easier ? if so you simply need to find the cpu settings in the bios and bump up the multiplier other than that you need to push the FSB to overclock which is also located in the cpu settings section

Nope it's not the black edition and also I cannot find anywhere in the BIOS to change the FSB.

first looking at you manual "To see more advanced BIOS Setup menu options, you can press <Ctrl> + <F1> in the main menu of the BIOS Setup program."

i also carnt see the FSB, may be the manual dosent show the advanced options?
other than that you could try overclocking using the easytune6 software.

I have the easytune software but i bumped my FSB up by 20 and my pc froze... A guide for doing it like this?
