oc i3 6100 @ 4.5 vs i5

im putting together a new gaming rig for my son, i have a very ltd budget.

im looking at skylake so 1151 sockets & ddr4 for some future proofing with an idea to build a VR capable machine in the future.

im thinking a clocked i3 6100 @ 4.5ghz is going to score pretty well for gaming, but would it better to go with a i5?

ALso the M2 ssd looks promising so thatll be in as well. so far my build is:

with regards to GFX, what would match nicely to the i3 rig? & how well does the onboard gfx on the intel chips perform?

sorry for all the questions but its been along time since i built up pc's and crunched data for seti.

The koolink case only suports micro atx motherboards and the bundle has an atx motherboard.
The i-3 is a good gaming chip at 1080p, even better overclocked which makes a good choice but as games use more cores than if you can afford.

The Gtx 960 or Amd 380 would be a good card for 1080p.
