Hi guys

I'm quite new to OC ( I used to OC Celeron 300a's in my day) so I could do with some sound advice pls.. :)

I have a Q6600 G0 and I want to try and clock it to 3.2

Sys Spec: Vista64
Q6600 G0 @ 1.25v
Abit IP35-Pro (latest Bios)
Tuniq Tower/Artic silver (been seated over 3 weeks)
4 x 1Gb GeIL ULL @2.1v (4-4-4-12)

What I need to know is there any settings other than x8/400 upping the CPU Voltage and maybe the RAM voltage, Ram timmings are puzzling me the most.
any advice would be most appreciated

all the best
Monkey ;)

well I have it at 3.2 . I only upped the voltage by the next setting. .1 of a volt I think on the cpu and that was it..nothing else needed to be upped on my ip35 pro up to 3.2.

Not RAM voltage or anything else. over 3.2 I will have to look at Northbridge MCH and I think it's VTT as well for extra cpu oomph as not stable over 3.2 .mm you might have to change the memory divider settings take a note of the ram speed at that and make sure it's not too high..I have mine I think at 1.1.25 the divider Ram running I think at 880 or thereabouts .My multiplier is 356x9 at the mo. it would be easy for me to work out where you are with memory and that but bit busy at least you got my info .

I personally would leave memory timings where they are...I do know someone who has them tighter but I wouldn't bother.

What I would like is to get mine at 3.3 but like I say I'd have to up something else ...I don't think it's worth it for just .1 ghz even 3.6 is only .4 ghz .

I know others will think differently to me.

ok cool..will be interesting to know how you get on. Don't forget to check your settings with Prime to see if it's stable.
