Right so i have my Core i3 540 at 4ghz at present(As Close as). Im getting some strange temps. Idle on Core 0 is 29 Celcius and Core 1 is 35-37 Celcius.

I Run a intel burn test on it and the temps shoot up into the 70's highest ive seen is 72 Celcius That too high or would you say normal?

The Cooler and thermal paste im using on it is a Akasa Venom Voodo (Changed to this from a closed loop system due to pump failure) and im using their bundled AK-455 Paste (Spread method on the CPU)

Ahh i see. Apart from the fans Ramping up and down by emself and my GPU Dumping abit of heat in my case.. Is there anyway i can Bring it down a little bit? My case is a HAF912 plus.

it may be worth reapplying the paste.
spreading it first can introduce tiny air bubbles imo.
personally i use a grain of rice size amoount with a little dot each side, so it looks like a +.
then just push down the cooler onto it, give it a little twist and back again, and screw down, (never lift the cooler once pushed down)

Those temperatures are completely normal and totally safe. No need to fiddle with the thermal paste.

Yea :S i just got abit Paranoid is all. As im Kinda new to Overclocking/Installing components/Tinkering etc.. All i can say is Thanks to gigabyte for their dual Bios the amount of times i fudged up and its reset itself..
