oc tools help

Hi guys

about to oc my first i7 tonight.... I've only ever tinkered with c2d's before. What progs can people recommend to bench / test the system before and after.

I'd like to compare synthetic results before and after as well as test stability / temps. OS is win 7 7100build 64bit.

with just a tad bit of trepidation thanks in advance

I used LinX and IntelBurnTest to stress the processor and a Prim95 blend test to stress RAM and CPU when I had it running stable.

I also used 3DMark Vantage to test the system, and see what it was capable of.

It's pretty much the same as stressing/testing your Core2Duo.

had a read through, wasn't sure what people recommend / use themselves.

how does this sound

3dmark vantage - before & after
intel burn test - cook the processor up
prime95 - check stabilty of oc and ram

what should I be using to monitor temps?

balls. Monitor shows out of range when i run 3dmark06, does anyone know if scan is automatic? I can't see squat.,squat.squat.

Without labouring the issue i'm stuck using an old crt at the moment.

oh well it finished, score of 8149 and it thinks I have a 975...
