Can anyone help with some overclocking with my MB and CPU.

These are the options:

Robust Graphics booster
CPU Clock ratio
CPU Host Clock Control
CPU Host Freq Mhz
PCI Express Freq Mhz
CIA 2
System Multipler SPD
Memeory Freq
High Speed DRAM DLL Settings
System Voltage Control
DDR2/DDR3 Overvoltage control
PCI-E Overvoltage Control
FSB Overvoltage Control
(G)MCH Overvoltage Control
CPU Voltage Control
Normal PU Vcore (This is greyed out)

Anyone understand What I should set these too? Starting point and what I should gradually increase?

Thanks

And do I press Ctrl+F1 to open mem timings? What voltage does the gell run at? If 1.8 is stock, could i raise it.

Should I use the standard voltage suggestions on that other thread then for my computer?

thanks

I think GeIL runs at 1.8, thats what I've got mine set at anyway. I would only increase the memory voltage if your overclocking it

Naud

Check the Geil website for rated RAM voltage, my Ultra Low Latency stuff needs 2.1v minimum. Ctrl-F1 to access settings, check the Beginners guide to overclocking for what to change. Robust graphics booster feeds extra voltage to graphics cards when overclocking them.

Edit: Make sure you set the PCI-E frequency to 100MHz, otherwise it'll scale with the host frequency (FSB) and will limit your overclock very quickly.

Found out what I was doing wrong. Successfully overclocked to 3ghz which is what I wanted and run orthos for nearly 9 hours successfully. Played a few games and seems ok.

Now the temptation is to go higher now... ;)

I left all the voltages the at stock value. Except the cpu which I increased from 1.3250 or something like that to 1.35.

Tempature was around 55max. on tat. Is that ok? Could i push higher?

~60c is considered to be the safe area for the C2D's. 65c is about the sensible limit.

65 is definately a good guide in which to say the max temp underload. Any higher than that and I guess you'll start throttling the CPU.
