OC wont boot

So I had to unplug my PC to move it for some decorating, I've just gone to start it up and it won't even post, power LED and fans come on for about 3 seconds and then it goes into a constant restarting loop.

I've reset the CMOS and booted it with stock settings and then reapplied the OC but it just does the same thing, strange as it was rock solid before I unplugged it.

Any ideas? It's an 2500k, OC was 4.5ghz @ 1.3v, everything is fine at stock settings but as soon as I apply the OC profile it wont boot.

Pull out all the wires and then plug them all in again. I had this once, no idea on the cause but my solution was just to make sure nothing was loose.

Ah, I think this might be a ram problem. I just disabled the xmp and reapplied the OC and all is well, I'm not very clued up with RAM, I wonder if it's not compatible.

Voltage on the XMP is 1.65v which is 1600mhz, which from my little knowledge isn't very good.

1.65 voltage is safe, even with the RAMs passive cooling. 1600Mhz is fine for a 2500k aswell.

Maybe your memory profile which clocked up with the CPU bus when you activated your cpu overclock became unstable at the new speeds.

I've no idea, I'm afraid I'm clueless with ram.

I've left it at stock (1333mhz) for now seeing as I've no idea what I'm doing. Funny how before I unplugged everything it was all ok, but it's definitely the ram profile that causes it.
