I have got my new Samsung SSD, installed it beside my 500Gb seagate, now in windows I get periodic double-buzz every minute or so, I can sometimes replicate the noise by clicking the wifi icon in my tray, when the wireless display options window appears, it makes the noise, not all the time, depends on screen colors etc i think... some sort of static/feedback... didnt have this before the SSD,The monitor sits on top of the speaker 'slab' but ive not had this problem before? when I move the monitor away it still persists.

seems Iam not destined too have this computer - ive had nothing but problems with it..this is problem number 8 or 9 I think..

before the install of the SSD one of the SATA power connecters broke some plastic of the fitting when it came off the hard-drive, i use electricians tape to tape the plastic back on, I have tried using different power connectors for the SSD and it yield different but similar results?

the PSU is brand new, its an XFX 450 pro core, and was ok before?

can anyone help with this?

the noise is periodic and determined by brighntess on screen (I Think) its like a quick double-buzz ..bup..bup.. lasts about 50ms each buzz and about 50ms apart

I hope & pray that its not something else thats broken..already sent back a dodgy OCZ drive..

edit: unplugging the SSD seems to stop the periodic buz but it still happens when u click the wifi icon?

Sounds like interference, you using onboard audio (as in, no dedicated sound card)? The wireless icon sounds weird though, is your wireless router/ap close to your case?

nope , router is in other room, onboard audio

ive just put the SSD into a SATA2 port next to hard-drive and it seems to have stopped...early days..I also moved the power cable around incase some interference was being picked up? (probably that!)

anyway i THINK its resolved...PHEW!!! heart was pounding and i felt sick!! had nothing but problems with this build....just a lot of small things building up including one dodgy (and low performing) OCZ Agility 3 drive, i got the Samsung 840 instead and it blows it out the water for reads and IOPS...almost twice as fast

just tried to install Windows 7 from USB to the SSD but it kept trying to load windows?? as if some of the windows boot code has been put onto the SSD whilst ive used it in windows with the HDD?? it crashes with iAStor because Iam trying to install on Marvel SATA3 ports... I have now deleted it into un-allocated space...gunna try run install again

thanks
