OCCT test led to system shutdown?

After overclocking my CPU (i5 760) from the BIOS to 2.93 I decided to find a tester of some sort, and decided to run OCCT. After a minute of the test, my system blacked out. The power was still on but the system was essentially off and unresponsive, so I had to shut down manually.

What might have caused this? I'm hesitant to say that such a minor overclock could break the stability!

Ps: Is there a more recommendable temperature/stability tester for CPUs?

If there a possibility that the heatsink fan was not mounted correctly, and due to this the temps are higher than normal and this caused a shutdown?

I would first look into the temps and making sure everything is safely connected.

Well according to RealTemps my current heats are: (bearing in mind this is a 2.8GHZ i5 with no overclocking at idle)

1st: 34
2nd: 29
3rd: 32
4th: 29

Is this above normal temps for a stock fan?

No those temps are fine. There could be an issue with either the memory or motherboard. Just keep in mind OCing a chip is not always successful.
