OCD on drivers?

I think doing all the sweeping/thorough cleaning actually creates more problems than it fixes. I just use the perform clean installation option with the nvidia drivers.
 
Uninstall old drivers
Install new drivers

Works for 99.9% of people. Only users who have problems need to think about a full driver sweep. However if you are ocd you can just do a driver sweep everytime as chrisoverson mentioned. Don't bother uninstalling the drivers just do the sweep, that's what i do.
 
The only time i do a clean install/driver sweep etc is when i get problems. Only had to do this once so far and it didn't actually solve anything...so doubt i'll be doing that again, i'm way too lazy to do that every time a new driver comes knocking.
