OC experts, your arvice on this would be appreciated;

E6600, DS4, 2Gb Super Talent PC5300 (667MHz), Lian Li case, 7900GS 256mb, 430w Levicom psu.

questions:

1. Is it adviseable use Easy Tune 5 (bundled with the mobo) or any other software to overclock the system? Or should i use the bios only?
2. Whats the advised limit to OC the cpu when only using the stock cooler?
3. Currently my temps are; system = 36oC, cpu = 26oC (even after 4 hours of BF2 gaming). System is higher than cpu, probably cos the cables are probably constricting decent airflow.
I will be buying a new psu this weekend. Was gonna go for a Hiper 580W, buy some are saying to stay away as they're rubbish. Your thoughts please?

If anyone could spare comprehensive answers to these, it may just help avoid me; a) shocking myself, b) killing my rig, c) crying, d) a,b and c :rolleyes:

1: i pfer to use bios so do 80% of people but theres some people who use applications wilst booted in windows to overclock. but bios is the best if you know what your doing

2: E6600 should do up to 3ghz depending on your room temp and the quality of the chip of it requireing less or more volts.

3: i have a hyper type R and its more than enough. my overclock has added a extra 190W usage from when my PC was standard speeds. and the Hyper Type R handles it perfect.

allso it looks neet and modular its good. :)
