Hi,

When did the Octavia change models to the newer one?

Going to have a look at some on Saturday.

Thanks

2005 AFAIK :).

The differences in the way they look are surprisingly subtle but they're fundamentally quite different cars.

Thanks I thought it was just a face lift, sneaky!

I think I'm correct in thinking I need to look at the Ambiant version if I want parking sensors as standard.

Another question, whats the servicing costs on the Diesel likley to run to?

You want the Elegance, which is also the best trim level apart from the Laurin & Klement.

The new Octavia (MK2) is quite different from the older MK1 and MK1.5 Octy's. Wasn't just a face lift, new floorpan etc.

Looks wise then it's not that different! :p

The 2005 onward cars use the B6 platform, same as the current A4 which has used it since 2002. The A4 moves to a new chassis at the end of this year. So Skoda may keep up in three years time.
