OcUK 1950 pro problems

Got a PCIE 256 meg edition of this card. The actual box is badged up as Triplex Parasouls. Had the card for a few months or so now, but never really gamed much on my system until recently.

I've been having problems on some games where artifacts will begin to appear after a while, gradually getting worse and usually leading to a hard lock-up. My system has decent ventilation, so I know that's not the issue. I've temporarily fixed the problem by using ATItool to underclock the core on the card from 575mhz to 550, but obviously this isn't ideal.

Just wondering really if there is a known issue with these cards at all??

Sounds like faulty RAM - I had the same symptoms with an ATI 9800 Pro. Downclock the RAM by 30Mhz and it was fine. It's still running in my old/spare PC in this state.

I've got a couple of the Triplex X1950's (from elsewhere), no problems with them so far.

If it's under warranty, chuck it back.

yeah there has been known issues with these cards (512mb anyway), check my tread, i sent it back and it was faulty. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17799640
