Ok, the votes for nominations are in for console game of the year and the top 10 in alphabetical order are:

1. Bioshock (360)
2. Call of Duty 4 (360/PS3)
3. Crackdown (360)
4. Halo 3 (360)
5. Mass Effect (360)
6. Project Gotham Racing 4 (360)
7. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
8. Skate (360/PS3)
9. The Orange Box (360/PS3)
10. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)

Some honourable mentions for those games that were close to being nominated: The Darkness (360/PS3), God of War II (PS2), Forza 2 (360), Metroid Prime (Wii), Heavenly Sword (PS3) and Assassin's Creed (360/PS3). Also if the GHII (360) and GHIII votes had been added together it would have made it into the vote. Also a big shout out to the loners who nominated Blue Dragon, Eye of Judgement and Wii Sports ~ you know who you are!

Just looking at them 10 makes me realise how spoilt we have been for games, long may it continue. I would choose Bioshock

Suprised PGR4 got there, its a good game but maybe not in the same par as the rest. Then again it is in a completely different game genre.

There's two that stand out for me, quite a long way actually too.

sweet, just thought it may not be doing so well online due to the number of players in game and it was always more of a PC oriented game, cant wait to try it out!

In terms of game of the year i'd say COD4 for its online experience and the beta was sweet too. Crackdown coming a close second and could have pipped it given a decent partner online.

On a side not i expect Mario was probably the best and most innovative game, it certainly looks class but unfortunately i never got to play it.

Cod 4 without a doubt, excellent single player(on veteran) and an amazing online experiance, i think i've played this game almost every day since release

I went for uncharted, given that I've only played that, CoD4 and Mario Galaxy from the list.

COD4 closely followed by Crackdown.

COD4 is close to be being my favourite FPS online, not sure if it will ever overtake GoW though

Crackdown is just amazing SP.

Mass Effect for me. Never enjoyed a game and it's storyline so much, and then came the superb music.
