I'm wondering then why I'm struggling to beat it. My Q6600 is clocked higher, RAM shouldn't play any part (your 4GB vs my 2GB) and my GTX is at a healthy 655/1075.

Don't get me wrong, I know the GT is a cracking card, but I'm now seriously considering offloading mine and getting a GT. Or could the res play a large part? What size monitor have you got? Be interesting to see the results at the same CPU speed at different resolutions.

clock you shaders up a bit should help.:)

Tweak them indivdualy i think bud. Find your highest shader clock first as that gives the biggest performance boost then find highest core clock then last of all find you highest mem clock. Hope this helps.:)

Thanks for that sulli, though I can't do any of it just yet as they're still in a depot somewhere atm.
I OCd my GTS but always kept the sliders locked and didnt push the shader too much tbh.
Will set to work when they arrive tomorrow and get my 8800GT SLI AMD benchmark up. I will be the number one AMD 3DMark06 system. *queue evil dominating laugh*

p.s. I'm hoping OCd 2x8800GT in SLI will beat ATI 2900xt 1024mb (crossfire) @ 748/1000 with the same CPU overclock!?

wow! nice one easy :)

Anyone got any idea why i'd get

10500 @ stock on my 8800gt
and
10900 @ 707/1782/2016

But i'm getting
3DMark Score 10985 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 5062 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 5409 Marks
CPU Score 2300 Marks

The CPU score is stupidly low. Its a [email protected]. and people seem to get getting a lot more in the CPU score range...

Not sure it will if you look at the top score its 2 x 2900xts which is beating overclocked ultra's in sli. The ultras are heavily overclocked while the 2900's are at stock. I take it you can't overclock in crossfire or he would have got an even higher score.

Well I finally got round to submitting a score - the second best GTS320 listed and I'm reasonably happy to be scoring over 11k.

Can't really see myself making up 400pts on Greenboi, my card is pretty much at it's limit (excluding suicide runs) and I'd probably need a fair bit more from the cpu to make up the difference.

What sort of shader clock on the GTX is a good start then? Not sure what it was when I did my last run, was automatic as I used rivatuner.

I've just tried this in single card setup at stock speeds and came up with a score of 10,697 against 10,378 with my overclocked 8800GTS 320MB.

8800 GT :D

Also overclocked shaders to 1590 and upped pci-e freq 115. That was with forceware 169.01. :)

I just clocked my shaders the same 1590 and i scored 5 marks less than when i didn't  using rivatuner 2.06 and 163.71 drivers any ideas why that might be?
