Crossfire x can use 4 GPU's.
They can also be different version, aka 3850 with a 3870 etc.

Nice! OC those GTX's a bit more.
I've been trying but the three cards are wedged so close together they start overheating
That's about as good as you can get on air cooled GPU's, Still though im well chuft with that score

Crossfire-X can support upto 4 GPU's, so you could see Tri and Quad card config's.
Now a quick question...
Where will the 3870x2's and the dual nVidia solution (can't remember which number it is) go. I assume single card? Just wanted clarification...
It's just that if they are counted as 2 cards, taking into account Crossfire-X and the fact you could mix them with single cards, you could have ATI GPU configurations of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 & 8 cards...

Might be best to consider condensing the lists to Number of Cores on CPU & Cards by Single GPU or Multi GPU, so make the Dual GPU option Multi GPU in essence.
