OcUK Amd Zen4 official review thread

Yeah. Also when I eventually upgrade I want a 3DCache version :)

More cores would be nice too and sensible power use, would love a 32 core on AM5 if they ever make one in the life span of AM5, maybe by AM6.

I have a sneaky feeling we will see a 24 core on AM5 at some point and if that has a massive single thread uplift and the usual epic multithread performance of ZEN cpus, I will probably be first in line for one.

For now I'm good with my 5950x and enjoying the system very much and at time of purchase I did feel a little buyers remorse as the parts were all very expensive and inflated at the time, from the world mess we all know. But now looking back I made a great decision and out of this rat race for a good few years :D on the main workstation/desktop and have a nice new laptop too now to last me a good while too and other laptops and tablets doing great too for my other tech needs.

So no need to update anything ... just my poor Samsung Note 4 mobile phone now on its 3rd new battery and still doing what I need but would love to update it to a new Sony wide screen phones, but hate the fact they are all built in batteries.. That's why I have not updated the phone as I feel the whole none removable battery thing is a P take with such a device and put my foot down..

Not really having any other itches for any tech at the moment and recently scratched my itch for some nice open back headphones and Nvidia threw a whole load of aloe vera on my GPU addiction and AMD have done good with AM5 and the new CPUS but no need for them yet for me and not liking the power use and I have a huge addiction to CPU tech and always have even before GPUS.

Only minor itch I have is PS5 Pro and waiting for that or a new PS5 with a better style as really don't like the look of the thing, but again enjoying the ps4 pro for living room fun and have the main desktop linked to tv too and the new laptop, but so far only gaming on ps4 pro as it's a quick session here and there to kill a little time and enjoy some old favs and sadly not even got round to playing a lot of the games I have yet on that..

Biggest problem is time to enjoy the tech these days and also have to also be aware of power use with the mess we are all in and not waste power if I can do something else in that time but you guys will laugh I normally turn the PS4 Pro on for a game of Galaxians or the other ace space shooter on PS Resogun and Super Stardust and Geometry Wars 3. Totally hooked by these games and great for a quick game.

someone wasn't paying attention to banter and if it was intel we know what the discussion would be, but oh amd can do no wrong.

you want a 75c in gaming? go ahead enjoy your noisy fans go brrr

Looks at my 400rpm fans, yeah brr

I don't get what the issue is, both Zen 2 and Zen 3 CPUs can reached 80c in gaming, how is this any different?

In gaming it ain't that high though and you can use thermal limit/ PBO without losing performance
