OCUK and Paypal problem

Hi, I been a regular buyer from OC ans had no issues with my PP account.

Now however I get a message saying the Address has not be confirmed by Paypal.

I tried contacting OC but got nothing useful and I also tried PP.

They had me reset the card as if it was the first time, I had to wait a while to get the new code.

The result is of course that it still doesn't work.

I just thought I'd ask if any one has come across this.

I doubt resetting a card would work, adding a new one might?

In my case paypal sent me a code to my house, thus confirming the address

Cheers I didn't think it would work either.

I have just tried purchasing some items from EBAY and that has gone through.

One Item sent and the other waiting dispatch, both have confirmed under the address.

If I do have to use another card I will set up another account as well but I'll leave that for a while.

Im getting this same issue tonight trying to place an order on OcUK, i have been using my PayPal account for the last year for my orders perfectly fine but now its telling me my PayPal Address is not confirmed even though in my PayPal account it says it is.

I started getting the same issue awhile back after using paypal without any problems for awhile in the end went back to using credit card as there didn't seem to be any easy way to sort it.

i too am getting this problem. ive tried changing my addresses in paypal and on the OCUK website, it still happens though.

i thought it was just me, so didnt bother mentioning it, but now i know others have the problem i will have a crack at solving it

Same problem for me a few weeks back, shame no one was prepared to help or investigate it further, the prob is definitely with OcUk

Soooo, this is the problem we get...

In paypal it says my address is confirmed

and on OCUK the address comes up with the same address too...

That was the issue I had, It took a while for me to get it sorted through PP.

I tried phoning them and they tried to fix it but couldn't.

In the end I resorted to twitter it still took about a week of tweaking and trying.

In the end it was fixed specifically for overclockers.co.uk.

I did ask what they did and the only answer I got was

"The agent adjusted your account for the address issue for the payment."

All I can say is try twitter and have them adjust the account for OCUK.

Proof that my address is confirmed with PayPal.

hmmm, tis a strange one, im gonna grab me a 5UB to have a look at it me thinks.

its strange how most places that need a verified address work fine with Paypal, but not OCUK (even though ocuk used to be fine too)

5UB says it is an issue that he knows about, and he is looking into it, hes not sure of the problem though.

Im firing an email off to Paypal and will see what comes of it, hopefully they can figure it out.

It's a shame i wanted to get my order in today, maybe they can disable address verification temporarily while they find the cause and fix it?

If it goes on too long im going to have to place my order elsewhere and i haven't done that in over 9 years

I do not know the solution myself, and it is rather frustrating.

We have a lot of PayPal orders coming through daily, so it is working for majority, however for some it doesn't work. Also, I have found out, people have used PayPal on our website before, and it worked fine, and now it doesn't.

By contacting PayPal support they are able to fix it by looking at this thread, however it would be interesting to know what is actually causing the issue, and if it is something we can fix at our end.

If anyone knows the solution, or gets any information our of PayPal please let me know ASAP. Thanks.

You can still order using credit card, debit card, or if your ring them they will probably sort out other methods?

PayPal isn't the only option, but it is the easiest. And if it is the only option, Il buy it for you using my cc, and you can PayPal me the cash haha.

5UB is looking into it for us, and PayPal are aware of the issue too. Hopefully they will be able to sort it out between them!

I had this a while ago. Might be unrelated
Ocuk was only issue. I had to delete all my cards except one for it to work

Using an Amex card you have to use PayPal

Aaaah,

Very strange. I've just done that and now my order went through!

I deleted all the cards and it worked fine.

Can someone else with the same problem confirm?

Then I know PayPal didn't change anything when I contacted them
