OCUK and Paypal problem

I've had this problem for a while, just paying by card now. I do have multiple address on paypal, although i get the option to select which one, none of them work, Even though 2 are home (for some reason, different capitals) and one work.

Couldn't be bothered to change anything so just paid by card.

I only have 1 card and 1 address on my PayPal account so i don't think thats the issue.

Noticed that under Postal Address page the address has a , between town and county so it looks like this
Town, County

Whereas the Billing address on the Credit cards page doesn't so it looks like
Town County

Don't know if perhaps this might cause the issue?

I don't have any cards on my OcUK account.

I wonder if that could be part of the issue, I don't have a card registered with OC either. If they try and match them of course it couldn't.

I'm sure I did at one point though, it would have expired if I had.

nah, the verification goes through to Paypal.... if you guys dont have cards on your account, then what fixed it for me obviously wont work for you.... which is strange.

i wonder if they did something to my account when they looked into it then?

The thing is when using twitter ask paypal I never mentioned OCUK for several days as soon as I said it was with OCUK it was fixed within 10 mins.

Paypal and OCUK is a real pain in the ****, hence me having to spend £200 elsewhere from my Paypal account that was still available. Another site I wont mention made this so much easier :(

I get that same "address not verified" yet it is. Had to resort to using the CC and it was generally hassle trying to get money from paypal into CC account.

That was the issue I had, It took a while for me to get it sorted through PP.

I tried phoning them and they tried to fix it but couldn't.

In the end I resorted to twitter it still took about a week of tweaking and trying.

In the end it was fixed specifically for overclockers.co.uk.

I did ask what they did and the only answer I got was

"The agent adjusted your account for the address issue for the payment."

All I can say is try twitter and have them adjust the account for OCUK.

Thanks for that post, I was able to get the logs for the transaction before and after you fixed it - I've passed them onto our account manager and asked for explanation, hopefully they can see from their side what they changed :)

It seems so, all we do is parse two variables in their response (payerstatus and addressstatus), we do it to confirm seller protection status before confirming the payment.

We'll see what they say - I had always assumed they played with addressstatus as part of their risk management, shifting liability (like with visa/mastercard, the bank decline an online 3d-secure where they take liability, then authorise it over the phone where we have liability!).
