Just thought i'd throw this out there as a suggestion for the main OcUK site.

How about, when searching for components, making the search more "customisable" - i.e how about an advanced search function?

It could allow you to choose a price range, a make, or a quantity (like GB for RAM/HDDS, MB for Graphics cards) etc.

What do people think? :)

I think a compatibility checker (like on one of the big hellish competitors) would be superb :) Would take a hell of a lot of coding though!

*coding noob would be an improvement* :o

couldn't they just make a basic one where mobos have what kind of ram\pci \cpu slots marked in and then when you select a card to check it just checks the value against the component?

Or just out an out nick the other sites >.>

Not saying OcUK should do it, but I've always thought that it would be cool if all the hardware was linked.

For example, if you picked a motherboard then it wouldn't let you pick a graphics card (or perhaps warn you) that wasn't compatible.

No idea if it could be done, but it would save on the "is this the right one?" threads ;)

Maybe if it was a 'build me a pc' section where you would select the mobo then move to the next step only showing you compatible stuff then to the next etc... It seriously wouldn't be too difficult to code.

Yeah that would be a nice idea, I meant something within the current system where it would "actively filter" based on your basket.

Something for the OcUK guys to consider.

It would make speccing PCs easier for those who weren't clued up aka The N00bs
