Ok so I now have a Monsoon bay res/pump combo

and of course had to spray it to match the front of the case or it just looks odd, so today I have already masked off, primed and began to spray the res...

FINALLY getting to the latter stages of spraying the case, hopefully the case will be finished and rebuilt over the weekend so I should have a few more pics of the finished case, then I can start to install the hardware ......

Well after a knightmare or 2 or 3 with the paintwork and some handy help from the fuzz we managed to salvage the situation, so the paint looks like this now

and btw after the knightmare we had the fuzz refuses to paint anything other than a small pc chassis

the main chassis is now back together!!
I have left space for the reservoir and for the aquero fan controller to be added
and added some white fan grills to the top of the case of which I will put up another pic soon, only the stripes down the front to be done but may leave it till last so that I can start installing this shiny new hardware

Right then I have managed to get one stripe done on the front of the case, it was a right royal pain to do all of the holes in the grill but it looks ok, think I may leave the second stripe until some of the hardware is fitted.......

That's a lot of holes to cut out by hand! Would it not have been possible to mask off the stripe with Frog Tape and then spray it white? ...or would it not have made a sharp enough line?

I did try that but frog tape doesn't leave a crisp line, it suffers paint bleed really bad, glad I tried it on a spare panel first, yes it was tedious but its so gonna be worth it

Well, it certainly looks good in the pics. I just want there to be a lazy way to do things....and then am disappointed when the results aren't perfect. It's a tough life being a lazy perfectionist!
