What are peoples views on when we can expect a clear out of Nvidia 7XX series cards?

I know the simple answer is when the 8XX series is out but any ideas/speculation?
 
Wait for second hand though everyone offloads them at ridiculous prices, bitcoin becoming less efficient meant that AMD cards could be had for next to nothing.
 
That's always been the way, best time to pick up a bargain is in the 'lull' before the new card appear.

As everyone knows the new cards are coming (and won't know the benchmarks by that point, pre-NDA) they sale (expectedly) drop. So some good deals will appear.

I picked up my GTX 670 at that point (for £161), sold it on secondhand (just under a year later) for £140. That's how good-a-deal it was. :). They were retailing around £190-£210 at the time.

So you can pick up a decent bargain, you just need to time it right, as they'll do it in limited numbers too. :)
