Chang and a Cobra King were my backup entrees. Glad I didn't enter Chang. Was hoping to get to M&S to see if they had an Asian beer in order of DJ but didn't get chance.

Off to a flying start though :) well done all.

Edit:Also where's my bonus point. You can clearly see boob in my picture!

Late entry or shall I say entry to the old email address (in time)

Nice.

My beer was pretty rubbish though. Not sure if just my local Tesco is stocking it (we have quite a large Vietnamese community in the area) or they are nationwide. They stock quite a few interesting beers in there as well as a very well stocked Asian food section.

Sorry couldn't really do much better than that. The glass at least says Kirin ichiban. So difficult to get an Asian beer out here lol.

my geopraphy is better (thanks Jokester)....
My pleasure.

Was actually going to submit a bottle of King Cobra, but convinced myself that it isn't actually Indian by British, but a bit of wiki does suggest that Cobra beer is brewed in India, but the company was founded and headquarted in the UK.

BeerLao is awesome. Need to look out my pics from when I visited the brewery in 2003 - it was the most advanced factory in the country at that point...

Pleased no one else had it but actually it's a fricking nice beer so do try it.

Ref Cobra, Wiki contradicts me but I was under the impression that it was designed in the UK by Mr Bilimoria and brewed in Poland under license for many years before it actlually got to India.

Count me among those who are surprised r.e. San Miguel.

Cheers,

taB.

Hi folks :)

Just wanted to jump in and say, cheers Macca things are ok mate and thanks again for taking this on! It's no picnic at times but I know you're the man for the task in hand :)

Once again, good luck everybody! :)

I'm in a generous mood since BOTW has started again. Kirin Ichiban is a valid entry for me :)

Agreed :)

Good to hear you're doing better DJ :)

Oh and dam your eyes Silent - we're both two points behind already dude :p

Kinobestew and Marvt74, how we managed to pick the 3 different Hitachino brews between us I don't know! I very nearly picked up both of those instead of the one I went for in the end. Did we all go to the same shop?! :D

Haha, I know. I was looking down the photos and saw your two's beers. I even warned Marvt74 that we might overlap because he lives near me but he reassured me he was going to a different shop to the one I went to. I went to Beermoth in the Northern Quarter of Manchester.

Have you had your beer? If so, what did you think of it? I thought mine was excellent, quite sweet but plenty of flavour. Pretty different to anything i've had before. I would be up for getting some more but my one bottle was pretty damn expensive. Maybe you two got yours from somewhere cheaper?

I'm not actually drinking at the moment, so I'm saving these until Christmas. I should have a nice little stock built up by Christmas, and as it's basically a little Christmas present for myself I have been splashing out. Mine was pretty expensive, not the most I've ever paid for a beer but not far off!

I went to the stall in the Arndale but I knew you'd have gone for the same brewery as I think that's all Beermouth stock that's Asian.

I'd actually bought Chang and a King Cobra to initially enter but forgot to take a photo before going to college yesterday and then we stayed in Manchester for tea so had to grab this last minute.

I've not tried mine yet. The only one I've had from this brewery was their Wheat beer (which I entered in the last comp) which I found excellent.

Not too sure about this one though as I don't like Hoegarden which is my only other experience of a white beer.

Rojin. Yours looks interesting as it's the first time I've seen a beer from this brewery which isn't in a stubby bottle like the other entries. Also seems to be a different style label. Is it a special edition?

Also good to see Ahleckz sticking with the Stone Brewery. Even though it's not valid!
