OCUK Beers of the World MK 3 Weekly Results - Asia

Hmmm it's not the best picture so I assumed it was an import from the Philippines, but looking at the carton it does say cerveza. So this will be the stuff brewed in Northampton by Carlsberg?

"San Miguel in Spain has the same origins as San Miguel in the Philippines. However, since 1953 the brewery in Spain has been under separate ownership and no longer has any connections with San Miguel Corp Philippines. The beer in Spain is brewed by San Miguel Fabricas de Cerveza y Malta S.A., part of the San Miguel-Mahou group."

I wasn't aware of any difference, but will accept 0 points if that is truly the case.

I was going to buy Tsingtao, but was certain it would be one of the more popular ones

To be honest you can usually do well with obvious ones as people avoid them. If you said think of an asian beer you'd probably think Cobra, Tiger and Asahi and yet none feature.

to be fair i wasn't but they are seperate breweires. the other san migeul is a pale ale type beer and it's a small stumpy red labelled bottle with san miguel on it. your one is the spanish one brewed in the UK and spain.

i was impressed though as had come across that brewery before but couldn't find any red labelled for BOTW mk1
