atleast intel cats can jump that high. its all the extra fps.
I’m not buying this cpu now...no point...
Indeed. If Cannon Lake is arriving this time next year, I don't see the point in this from a consumer perspective. I want to upgrade my 6700k, but it seems I shall be waiting a while longer.
How many of these reviews are using engineering samples versus the retail box processor?
Just pondering, as I know Leo on kitguru says theirs was a sample.
Any specific charts for 1440p and 4k gaming results versus 8700 and 2700X?
Most of the reviews are concentrating on 1080, as one might expect.
Unfortunately seems Intel "benchmark" guiding has to promote 1080p.....
But here is with 2080Ti with 2560x1440.

Except far cry 5, there is no difference at 2560x1440 and won't be any with lesser cards (2080/1080Ti/Vega) even on that game.
Also consider stock 2700X runs at 4Ghz. It can get another 15%-17% with better ram and OC to 4.3.
Honestly what is the 9600k? all the reviews i have seen (gaming wise) is within 1 fps of the 8600k its just a 8600k with solder instead of white toothpaste and they want us to pay for that luxury
