Well as I like the blue theme and it is the mark of OCUK I have to say that the new black does look a lot more modern. So in all it would be nice to have the option in the user cp.

Its pretty much 50/50 split. i prefer the blue theme, its unique to the forum and i find it easier on the eyes than the dark theme which i have tried before.

I think the text colour should be a little darker on the black template.. just by a very small amount so that it reduces the harshness slightly.

I have been using that Dark Theme for awhile, much prefer it to the blue. A nice change if anything, and it matches the Vista task bar

Blue for me however the black does look good. As many have said I feel an option should be provided in a user's control panel, clanbase used to do this i think and maybe still do, if they can do it, well....

Just make sure it doesn't ever look as dire as the clanbase webby

for me personally (and I'm using the modified black theme already) I would say just give us options and then let us pick (maybe have a few extra colours, I'm sure theres some people who want a bright vibrant red forum for example). The modified black one isn't perfect in my view as it doesn't highlight new posts as well as the blue one does but as a whole its better on my eyes than the blue is - just.

One thing I do like a lot about the Dark Theme is that on the forum index it lets you 'minimise' sections of the forum. For example I could 'minimise' the Apple section as I don't tend to visit there often.

Not that it matters much with the OcUK Firefox menu addon thingy but it's nice all the same.
