Yes, that's pretty much the case. We followed the recipe and step by step pictures.

I'd be interested in having a go next time, Christmas was just badly timed 
I fear I'm too restrictive in not eating red meat or fish too, but if there's choices of meat while keeping the rest of the ingredients the same, I could have a bash. Maybe a joint entry with Freakitchen, who I'm fortunate enough(?) to share a student house with.

Maybe next time call it "OcUK Recipe and Food Presentation Competition" or something

I think next time this should be done "come dine with me" style.
Each member takes their turn to host a dinner party. 100 hungry OcUK members descend on his/her house. At the end they mark him/her out of 10.
Granted you'll need a big dining table but I think it's doable.
