Anyone playing this season? What bat are you using, what are your goals for the season?
I am starting my third season of village cricket for my local team, and have really enjoyed it, prior to this I played for my school but it fell into the background to Hockey touring
Been slowing down on the touring since I settled down with the Mrs and family, and decided to take the plunge into the gentlemanly game for my summer sporting fix.
I am using a £10 bat i got from Sports direct, on sale, this season. Keeping is my fave pass-time, but i am being asked to bowl instead.
Incidently, i was in the nets last night and after a long bowling session my hand is all mottled, it looks like I have broken a lot of tiny vessels in there. Its not painful, just looks a bit odd. Anyone else had this when they started bowling?
