As some of you may know summer is the quietest time of the year in the PC business. Warm weather, barbeques and holidays all mean buying hardware isn't foremost in people's minds.

This year is no different, except for OcUK. Right now we are in the middle of a big boom period, for various reasons, but this is also the time of year most staff members take their holidays. Our priority always has and always will be getting your orders out the door and this we are doing. It does mean however that something has to give and that means our phone lines are not staffed to the level we would like.

We've been busy recruiting all week and expect the situaton to ease next week. In the meantime please accept my apologies if you don't get through as quickly as usual and thank you for your support.

i once collapsed during work from tiredness, i fell on my shoulder and not head first so it wasnt as bad, but could have been deadly apparently.


anyhow, i was going to call about my RMA but i dont think i will now :)

Very surprising news considering how things usually go. Shows OcUK is doing something different to a competitor I speak with. Good news overall that your having trouble as strange as it sounds.

It will get sorted, nice to let people know about it. :)

If you have not already how about posting it on the site news, so non forumites can read it. :)
 
bbreezeuk, re-read the rules please. I can assure you the rest of the PC industry is having its worst summer on record.
 
Nice to see some communication about what's going on. :)

Should be about time students/school kids get their new PCs too soon? Especially with student loans going on laptops a lot more these days.

Yeah its certainly all hands to the pump at OcUK.

I was purchasing and doing product research yesterday from 8am until midnight.

We do have more of the latest gear available here at OcUK compared to others and our prices are competitive, its impossible to always be the cheapest.

So with recent AMD Price cuts, new Intel products and mega deals we've been doing all departments at OcUK has just got crazy busy. Examples are were shipping the quantity of orders we would normally do at Christmas and full system sales has tripled.

As Spie says recruiting has been done and our backend systems are constantly been improved to cope with extra demand but you always get these moments where a sudden burst of growth is experienced and we have to play catch up.

OcUK has sourced many of the great products that have now gone EOL such as Socket 939 processors, DDR memory and AGP graphics cards to meet demand for those who want an easy upgrade and don't have to change their whole system.

Plus with even more deals on the way and OcUK been first with new products and price drops business levels are just keep increasing. :D

Thought i would tell you that there are agencys out there that supply staff for busy periods.

We've tried that before. The quality of staff from such agencies tends to be very poor. We need good intelligent trust worthy staff. :)
