OcUK Dadsnet thread

Having mild success with sleep training our nearly 6 month old. Morning naps seems fine but night time sleep is rocky at best. Usually goes down from 7-12am ISH then we're getting wake ups again maybe 2, 3.30 and 5ish. Finding it hard to resettle without a feed.

When we started sleep training she had some of her longest sleeps at night and we thought we'd turned a corner but it's all gone south since then.

Anyone any advice?

Are you using Formula? If you are, have you changed it to Follow On Formula?

Honestly it's just normal, sleep goes up and down in those early months, often with no obvious pattern. The books talk about the common periods of "sleep regression". Neither of my kids slept through until well over a year, the first we tried everything suggested with no obvious benefit and the second we just rolled with it and it sorted itself out.

Especially a breastfed baby at 6 months, very few will be sleeping through.
