OcUK dectectives help is required!

Lol yeah this. My sister changed her Facebook status to "in a relationship" before telling any family members. It was several months later when my mum found out, and that was only after checking my sister's FB page. I find it a bit sad really that they tell a web site before telling their own mum.

Oh come on, is it really that different? I'd be officially 'going out' with girls without necessarily telling my family. Young people are generally looking for independence and putting 'in a relationship' on Facebook seems to be the modern version of telling your friends you are 'going out with someone' like we did 20 years ago.

Stelly, how did your OH find out about her dad getting married? Perhaps that can hold clues.

There's a big difference in those two, take rights for one, in one, if one partner dies and they're in a relationship unless a Will says otherwise no money comes to the partner, whereas if they're married then unless a Will or prenup says otherwise all money goes to the widower.

I'm going to call Trafford registry office in the morning see if I can get any information about the marriage... if not I might just call it a day.

Thanks anyway guys :)

just tell her "yes, hes married"

if she doesnt speak to him regardless, it wont matter.
if its closure shes after, shes got it
if you ever get found out, and he isnt married, then at least she will be happy then?

take this advice with a pinch of salt...

Stelly look at the BDM Register.

Can search UK here free, for most Birth, Death & Marriage, as long as you have a surname.

EDIT: Cheshire marriages only go up to 2012 online, registry office will have later ones, but you need details of both persons to obtain certificate.

Only marriages for KAY is 2008 - 2009, nothing later.
