OcUK Detectives would be proud!

how would that let you know its been repaired anyway ?

surely if the painters done a decent job it will be very similar to the factory paint anyway

I read through this whilst bored in the early hours expecting a WTFPWND ending, but sadly there is only 20+ Pages of conjecture through 'those in the know' not actually backing up anything whatsoever, if anyone got owned in that thread it is the Admins/Mods of that site for letting it run so long.

Yes the guy was a tool trying to sell an accident damaged car as straight, especially when he bought the repair parts from said site. Sadly, accident damaged cars are sold as straight all the time.

If anyone there had irrefutable proof they should present it to the guys local Trading Standards office and let them deal with him, then one could say he finally got owned.

Factory paint is done using computer control robots which spray the paint very evenly around 100-130 microns. Bodyshops etc will do it by hand and will average around 300-500 microns of paint, the actual quality of the finish can be better by hand but the paint will be thicker. I've also still to see a car in person myself that I can't tell has been resprayed just by the naked eye, you just need to look out for the tell tail signs.

Blimey that has taken me a age to read.

I know this sort of thing goes on its still shocking!

Very interestingly he lives about 500 metres from where I work. Perhaps I should go round and threaten him with my keyboard or something on my lunch.

I might even be ultra cool and take some mega covert pictures of his house as I sometimes go to langley-desh for luncheon.

Or leave some hovis on the bonnet with a note "OMGWTFGAIJINWOZERETBFHLOLZ"

Or I could just sit in the office and fart.
