Hello

As you can see, this is an MSI only competition.

Please read the competition rules as it does clearly state that the board used but be the MSI :)

MSI will remove any entries that do not follow the rules in post one.

Thanks :)

Hello

Some pretty nice results coming up so far so keep them coming!

As for comments on having to own an MSI product to win an MSI product being a little unfair, yes I can see where you are coming from with this however the competition although hosted here at ocuk is actually an MSI competition hence the need for the GD65.

Don't let this put you down though as other competitions may crop up in the future from other manufacturers or even none manufacturer specific.

Let's all see how this goes and keep the niggles and small moans out of this one as everyone will be able to enter such competitions as times progresses :)

Thanks

Ok everyone. Some valid points made however now is the time to move on.

This is an MSI competition run by MSI. The rules stated are their own rules and to participate it is only fair that you follow them.

If you don't have the kit then that is just unfortunate however don't be put off by this as more competitions will come to light in the near future that will involve other manufacturers by them selves or as a group effort.

Any more complaints will result in the post removal and a 24hr sus as it is not fair on those who can enter nor is it fair on the moderating team, the staff of ocuk and for MSI to have to sit here and read all of the childish bickering and moaning.

This is the FIRST competition being hosted like this. It just so happens that it is MSI however more will follow so please dont ruin it for others as that really is not fair!

As pedantic as this may sound ocuk and the moderating team do not like having a moan, suspending members or deleting posts so please adhere to forum rules, competition rules and refrain from drifting away from what is deemed to be a correct forum eticate.

Now be nice! These are some pretty awesome prizes! Yes the tip prize will more than likely be won by a member with a 2600k and some good cooling however there are two prizes in a random draw that are also well worth entering for!

I'd certainly not grumble at the chance of getting an 560ti just for running a 5 minute bench :D

Hello,

I have decided to open the competition up to owners of the P67A-GD53, GD55and GD80 also. As they are all based on the same power phase design it's only fair :D

Andrew, would you please edit to OP to reflect this?

Thats a very nice gesture of you Scotti, I shall update now and hopefully we shall see a boost in entries :D

:p

Chill out Scotti.

You're offer is genuine and I'm without doubt that the guys that own MSI products appreciate the opportunity. I think this comp is a great idea and I look forward to seeing just how fast they can tweak with these boards.

The old addage you can't please all the people all the time is what's appropriate here :)

I've taken the liberty to add some capital letters to your post as I presume you're out of stock, and I've attached your toys to the pram with elastic so they come back...

Right who's got the Liquid Nitrogen?? :D

Ive got phase but its hardly fair :P

Come on chaps.

Lets all quit the bickering :)

As has been mentioned a 2600k will pretty much trounce the competition who use 2500ks however it is not out of the rules to use one. Everyone gets entered into a draw to possibly win a 560ti and theres 2 of those up for grabs! So far with the amount of entries here I Would think that you all stand a good chance of winning something. it also gives you all the chance to have a play around with overclocking so you all will take something away from this.

Keep the entries rolling in, I want to see some competition for HiVizMan.

With SB processors there is no advantage core speed wise to going with LN2 or even Dry Ice - a good water cooled system will max out all PCU's. I benched WPrime 1024 at 5.7GHz on water. Cold does nothing to aid the overclock achieved. Cold might prolong the life of the CPU but that is all. Chilled water would be as good an option.

Question to the organisers. Where is the leader board or a list of submitted results I could not find one.

Results going up on my second post now.

See post two :)

Right, going to go over this and submit the entries over to MSI.

Looks like HiVizMan has taken the top spot however lets leet MSI go over all entries first to ensure all is within the rules :)
