Cheers, updated our specs. :)

I just taken one out of its box, can confirm it feels and looks awesome.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it m8.

Only PSU I know off which is full of so much quality whilst also looking absolutely sublime too and the fact the molex connectors glow is really really cool as well. :)

I had an EVGA 1000w P2 for a couple of weeks before 'upgrading' to a 1300w G2. Great PSU's.

I will say that I got my 1300w for £148 so thats a good £30 cheaper than the superflower branded one which is exactly the same underneath.

A question: As I believe the units are not identical, as Superflower unlike Seasonic can a build a PSU to any specification/option requirement, whereas Seasonic just re-box for other brands, no customisation.

Does your EVGA have glowing cables/connectors like the Superflower?

Gibbo, I just came across some pictures of the cables that come with the superflower platinum models.

It seems the 1200w actually has 8 pci-e connectors not 6 which is listed on their website. 3 of the cables have 2 x 6+2pin on each and then 2 x 6+2pin singles.

I'd assume this is the same for the 1300w gold.

They do indeed, as we just claimed a world record with one of these PSU's, 8 Pack shall reveal full details later, but in short best PSU he has tested (1200W Platinum). :)

Hi there

Great testing done today Ian, I told you these were pretty much the best PSU I've ever seen and great to hear your also very impressed.

Fact some other gold rated 1200W power supplies struggle with three 290X's is proof alone how good the Superflower is to easily handle four 290X's without issue. As I've said they are actually about the equivalent to a silver/gold 1400-1600W power supply which are normally closer to £300, they are both exceptional value and quality.

Also something else to note, we've seen other 1200W PSU's get a little noisy with three graphics cards or clicking if a digital unit. The super flower actually remains very quiet indeed and there is no clicking.

To put it simply anyone who is seeking the absolute best power supply or has a tri/quad crossfire/sli machine the Superflower Leadex 1000/1200 are the best we sell out of all the high-end power supplies, simply superb. :)

Thinking about going for this one:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-010-SF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2057

Is there any chance this is going to be one of the christmas deals or today only deals in the next few days? I'd rather not buy it then find it's £30 cheaper next week.

Also, perhaps a stupid questions - What is the difference between the GOLD and Platinum versions? I know very little about PSUs.

Thanks,

Unfortunately no sorry. :(

PSU Shortage. :(

We've got 12 left and were selling 15 a week, so please order quick.

How silent is the 500w Fanless when it comes to electrical noise ?

My system will probably pull around 300w max but I can't stand electrical noise, already sent back two Season P520 FL's (different supplier) because they emitted a buzzing which was very audible (even from a metre away). I know they were faulty because my brother has the same PSU with zero electrical noise, I've even tried his PSU connected to my system (to eliminate my components) with the same silent results. This has put me off buying that model, seems like a lottery as to whether you get a good one or not.

What's the returns policy like for audible buzzing with the Superflower fanless PSU ?

All reviews state zero buzzing and no electrical noise, they are quieter than the Seasonic versions for sure.

We've sold about 30 units so far, not a single one returned, so customers very happy with them, as always buy one, if your not impressed, send it back under 14 day DSR terms we offer. :)

1500W EVGA SuperNOVA NEX1500 Classified, 750W/650W EVGA SuperNova's have loud fans, average reviews - do not buy.

No reviews of the SuperFlower lower wattage PSU's, I doubt they will be loud at all, need them testing properly by Techpowerup, Jonnyguru etc.

I'm saying the SuperFlower PSU's are brilliant, but they are overpriced, mainly due to retailer wanting to make good profit margin, and supply/demand.

EVGA give 10 year warranty and usually priced 25% cheaper, why would I buy a SuperFlower?

SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 1000W or EVGA Supernova P2 1000W, you are getting the same unit, except different coloured cables on the EVGA, and no 50 pence extra of LED cable sockets, they both run quiet.

See this graph below for the above PSU's running ECO mode.

Read through reviews, that's what I do, the proof is in the pudding so to speak.

Our next shipment shall be a lot more aggressively priced, so the pricing will match or beat EVGA.

Also note Superflower don't make the EVGA 1500W unit.

Pre-ordered one of these sexy 1200w units about a month ago for my Caselabs matte white build (I was starting/doing an 8-pack build before he appeared on OCUK). It finally arrived wednesday ahead of the quoted 28/02/2014 restock date. OCUK sent me the 1000w instead. I did an RMA and sent back on Wednesday. They did a "This Week Only" deal on the new stock. I noticed this morning all the 1200w units were sold, I emailed OCUK to say "Please tell me you kept me one of those units for replacement" This is pretty poor after using this company for so many years, even put up with the old 'bad' overclockers. No other company is making a supply that matches this well. This really blows.
You don't expect to spend something like £4000 with a company over the next six months to be undermined by a dumbass mistake nor wait a month on pre-order only to be screwed.

Someone could have at least tried to put this right.

Hi there

Sorry to hear about this, I've pointed this out to our customer services who will hopefully be in touch on Monday to try and resolve this for you in a way which benefits/helps you, as afterall looks like our mistake. So give us a chance to resolve for you please. :)

Just had a look its in ECO mode, if i flip it into AUTO the Fan makes a nasty grinding noise, i think the PSU itself is fine, it just sounds like the fan is not working as it should.

Will whip it out and box it up to be sent back.

If its a 1000/1300W Gold the last batch of these could have a known fan issue which essentially sounds like a grinding/buzzing fan. Superflower have fixed the issue now, so if yours has this just get it RMA'd. :)
